Ecozema
The company's first plant was established in the early 1900s with the production of large wooden pliers for the tanning industry, which later became the wooden and plastic clothespins for household use. The Zema brand was born in the 1970s and stands for the initials of then partners Zugliani Enricoand Munarini Antonio.
In 2000, experimentation with biopolymers, such as Novamont's Mater-Bi, and work with recycled plastics began. After 5 years of experimentation, in 2005 we finally created Ecozema, biodegradable and compostable disposable catering products made from biopolymers or plant fibers.
Ecozema cutlery was the first in the world to obtain OK-Compost certification.
